Living Water Inclusive Catholic Community
Synod on Synodality, 2021 – 2023
Conversations That Matter

Living Water will participate in conversations on topics being discussed by Catholics around the world as part of the Synod on Synodality 2021-2023, called by Pope Francis.

The goal is to give as many individuals as possible the opportunity to answer this question: 2000+ years after Jesus the Christ walked the earth, what should our Church look like? How have we evolved? Where is the Spirit guiding us? Thinking about our Church, what do we save because it continues to be life-giving, and what do we jettison, because it no longer gives life?

Our Living Water Community will sponsor six such conversations in January and February,

January 6, 1:00 p.m.  Reimagining Theology, Doctrine and Dogma in the Church
(What role should our Church play in guiding my religious beliefs?)

January 13, 7:00 p.m. Rethinking Authority in Governance of the Church

(Who should have a voice in governing our Church, and how can those voices best be heard?)

January 20, 1:00 p.m. Redefining Liturgical Ministries in the Church

(Whom should our Church recognize and commission as liturgical ministers?)

January 27, 7:00 p.m. Embracing Diversity in the Church

(What does it mean to be an open, welcoming,
inclusive and supportive Church?)

February 3, 1:00 p.m. Celebrating Scripture, Liturgy, and Prayer

(How can we dust off our sacred words and
have them come to life again in our Church?)

February 10, 7:00 p.m. Walking a Path of Listening and Speaking Out

(How can we be responsible for being the Church we wish to see?)

A link for each conversation will appear in our Community Notes the Sunday before, as will questions to be discussed. If you did not receive the original email that was sent out about our participation in the Synod, please contact and it will be sent to  you. Every voice is important to this process, and ours will be sent on to Rome to be combined with others from around the world. So please join your sisters and brothers for one or more conversations in January and February.
